First Visit

Your First Visit

Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any paperwork needed.

Your first appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, oral and maxillofacial surgery can be performed the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.

If your dentist or doctor has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our practice. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. Even though you may have recent routine dental films, we frequently need to take our own special x-rays.

Please assist us by providing the following information before or at the time of your consultation or treatment:

  • A referral slip from your dentist or doctor indicating why you are seeing us
  • Bring any X-rays which were given to you
  • A list of medications you are presently taking
  • Medical Aid/Insurance Details

Our practice is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, patient care. If there’s anything that you’re unsure of, do not hesitate to call our practice with any questions.
